PRINCIPAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manages activities concerned with contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products, or services.
•To be responsible for the development and provision of contracting services to support the organization’s purchasing and expenses.
•To be responsible for the negotiation and management of all external and internal contracting arrangements.
•To ensure that all contracting activities are carried out in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures.
•To build and strengthen existing contracting approaching and structural arrangements for contracting.
•Negotiates contract with contractors to ensure the best total value (quality, price, & delivery) as well as the best terms & conditions.
•Advises other departments of contractual rights and obligations.
•Requests or approves amendments to or extensions of contracts.
•To be responsible in front of Management for Contracts renewal on time.
•To develop innovative contracting approaches to achieve positive outcomes for users of services
•Collaborates with the Procurement Manager in creating and refining related policies and procedures
•B.A. in Business Administration
•Minimum of four years of experience, two of which involved supervising the procurement activities of a multi-faceted organization involving civil projects as well as day-to-day purchasing.
•Experience in contract administration and contract writing.
The Institute is government funded, founded in 2005 through Royal decree of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Abu Dhabi as a corporate body with full financial and administrative independence.
The teaching medium and mode of communication across the organization is English.
