Opening for Contracts Manager

Job Description

 

 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee and lead  the development of Design and Construction contracts, Work Orders and Variation Orders based on standard templates and specific project requirements
Assist Project Delivery Team  & Client Main Office in negotiations with the consultants and contractors
Oversee the preparation of Award Recommendation Reports and other submittals sent to Clients Main Office for approval
Provide guidance, advice and oversee the work performed by the Contract Administrators.  Is this not the Management of Contract Administrators?
Review the performance of the commercial aspects of infrastructure and civil works projects
Interface and coordinate contract administration activities with independent Cost Consultants and other entities
Ensures uniformity of procedures for award and administration of contracts
Supervises and provides support to the contracts management team to procure design and construction services on time and within budget in accordance with Aldar procurement procedures
Oversee, monitor and report contracts administration performance of Consultants and Construction Supervisors
Provides contractual input in reviewing, defending, negotiating, and responding to the design and construction claims
Oversee the project close out contractual aspects.
Compliance at all times with the Company Code of Business Conduct
Willingness to readily appreciate the financial and legal implications arising from internal / external proposals and to develop and implement strategies to manage and mitigate those issues.
