The Role
Sales Manager - Africa- Responsible for management of regional business activities, setting goals, development and delivery of strategic objectives, and optimizing regional business opportunities to achieve sales targets, growth and market share
- Manage sales activities in assigned African markets (Nigeria, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Sudan, Ethiopia, Congo & Ghana)
- Develop a customer and product mix dynamically to maximize returns to the Company and sustainably over the medium and long term
- Develop and communicate value proposition at each targeted segment
- Develop plans to keep trade and channel partners motivated and enhance overall customer relationship and satisfaction
- Monitor and control selling G&A costs and take responsibility for pricing decisions
- Own and manage the Sales KPIs as detailed in the BU’s BSC and measures thereof
- Develop market and business intelligence; formulate & implement strategies, programs and plans
- Take lead in preparing presentations to clients, channel partners and alliances
- Support Sales Head in global sales management (volume allocation, pricing, market intelligence gathering and etc.)
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in either Sales Management, Marketing, Engineering or Business Admin- Minimum 5 years sales experience at regional level preferably in Printing & Writing Paper, Printing & Board sales in Africa
- Experience in sales of products made in chemical or process industry in Africa will be considered
- Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Good customer network and relationship in some segments of fine paper sales
- Strategic mindset yet hands-on in tasks
- Proficient in written and spoken local native language & English will be an added advantage
