Accountant
- Perform general accounting or cost accounting activities on an independent basis as per the financial policies, procedures and standards laid down;
- Adheres to all policies and related to procedures related to Finance department.
- Prepares and maintains the Fixed Asset register/schedule including CWIP.
- Is responsible for ledger/account maintenance, cost analysis, reconciliation, posting, and inventory control.
- Reconciles various GL accounts in a monthly basis.
- Prepare financial reports through analysis of simple operating statistics and/or financial data.
- Prepares and books, in a monthly basis, accruals, depreciation and amortization.
- Assists in reconciliation of vendors and Advances to Vendors.
- Assists in the ERP implementation and processing and disbursements of payroll.
- Supports in preparation of various schedule related to staff insurance, leave encashment and other retiring benefits.
- Helps in settlements of PD, LC and TR in the system.
- Performs physical stock activity every end of quarter.
- Prepares schedules for auditors and provides assistance in auditing process.
- Performs data entry of cash related documents.
- Prepares Bank reconciliation statements
- Coordinates with the banks for import and export LCs, Guarantees, facilities, etc.
- Prepares daily, weekly and monthly cash flow statement including cash flow forecast for the next three months.
- Assists in month-end and year-end closing.
- Perform any other relevant tasks as directed by the Director, Finance.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CPA, etc.)
Skill base required:
- 3 or more years’ experience as an Accountant
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Savvy communication and interpersonal skills required
- Must be able to multi-tasking in a fast pace, high volume, environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform routine mathematical computations and tabulations accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles.
- Knowledge of ERP – Oracle financial package is a must.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management.
- Must possess strong problem solving, leadership and analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office
