Night Auditor - Male only

We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced male night auditor who would like to take up challenges within the Finance Department and be a part of our growing organization.
His primary focus is o audit, balance and consolidate departmental ledger accounts, supervise the night audit process in Prologic and prepare various hotel operating reports as well as balance the end of day reports of the different outlets with Prologic.
Other job responsibilities are as follows but not limited;
• Adhere to the department’s Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
• Aware of the departmental fire evacuation procedures and to adhere to them at all times.
• Aware of local market competition, to monitor trends within the industry and make suggestions how these could be implemented in our hotel.
• Ensure the timely and correct preparation and submission of all administration and audit reports.
• Be innovative, suggesting new ideas and investigating new ways of doing things or new services.
• Aware of the hotel’s credit policy and to adhere to all aspects of the credit policy at all times.
• Interact and communicate with guests & colleagues in a courteous, friendly, open and honest manner at all times.
• Aware of all hotel policies, procedures and government rules & regulations and to maintain good relations with the police and other local authorities at all times.
• Attend departmental meetings and hotel training programs as and when needed or instructed.
• Carry out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Management.
• Ensure that all daily room charges and other charges are posted during the night audit process.
• Balance all revenue totals of cash and credit cards against Prologic revenue reports.
• Prepare credit card/charge card summaries and post to ledger accounts.
• Correct any errors or omissions made by cashiers during the day prior to the night audit process.
• Prepare hotel operating reports and complete audit packages to laid-down standards.
• Accept revenue and floats from restaurant cashiers, ensuring that these are counted and securely locked away.
• Support cashiers at Reception during busy times.
• Carry out all necessary checks, for example (but not limited to) special rates authorization (rate check report), in-house guest credit limits, cashier deductions/transfers, paid-outs, etc. and ensure that all such transactions are correct and documented appropriately.
• Regularly spot check all outlets concerning cash transactions, ensuring that cash amount in tills is equal to cash report readings.
• Check the trial balance for the day and to check all city ledger transactions for the day ensuring that they have the correct documentation attached and are error free.
• Spot check guest room rates between correspondence, registration cards and actual amount charge to ensure uniformity.
• Carry out the reconciliation between credit card terminals, POS terminals and Prologic.
Candidate must have the following qualifications;
- At least High School Certificate or College Diploma
- With 1 year work experience in a hotel industry on the same capacity, preferably in the Middle East.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Has the strong ability to interact with different types of customers/guests.
- Has attention to details.
- Ability to lead and inspire people in a busy environment.
- Ready to join as soon as possible, UAE based candidate will be given preference.
