DESIGNATION : SENIOR DESIGN / TECHNICAL ENGINEERCOMPETENCY : B. Tech. Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 yrs experience
REPORTING TO: TECHNICAL / R&D MANAGER
1. Design– using mathematical modelling to work out whether new developments and innovations would work and be cost effective design – turning research ideas into technical plans for prototypes using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software testing (Solidworks, Pro-E etc).
2. Prepare air side products design & prepare BOQ with cost.
3. Project estimation using selection software & optimize to match sales team budget.
4. Collecting and analyzing data from tests on prototypes modifying designs and re-testing – this process can go through several stages before a product is ready for manufacture or installation reporting
5. Writing or presenting regular progress reports for R&D and Technical manager.
6. It is important to be familiar with, and adhere to, company’s product standards and specifications, so that you may design quality products that represent the company brand.
7. You must keep trends and the needs of sales team demands in mind when designing products.
8. You may also be responsible for making improvements or updates to existing design and development standards.
9. You may also need to understand how our decisions affect product cost, performance, and quality.
10. Coordinates with preferred and strategic suppliers directly if needed to furnish offers for an enquiry
11. Assisting the sales team in the preparation of special project equipment.
12. Co-ordinate with Production & Quality Department for technical issues.
13. Supporting Operation team to execute the offered projects.
14. Strong problem solving skills
15. Excellent communication skills
16.Sound knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks, Pro-E etc)
17. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
18. Ability to work in a team
