RISK ANALYST

Job Description

Risk Analysts are responsible for analyzing and managing the risk to the organization, its employees, customers, reputation, assets and interests of stakeholders. They may work in a variety of sectors and may specialize in a number of areas including:
 - enterprise risk;
 - corporate governance;
 - regulatory and operational risk;
 - business continuity;
 - information and security risk;
 - technology risk;

• Facilitates the annual risk assessment process by interacting with and interviewing business area personnel in order to gather information, interpret results, and document processes.
• Updates, maintains, and keeps the Audit database up-to-date and accurate by tracking, monitoring, and entering data based on execution and closure of assessment or audit action plans.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Director.
• Supporting senior manager in all areas of risk management.
• Building out systems to monitor large amounts of risk data and generate meaningful risk management reports.
• Investment idea generation, research, project scope and outlining. Writing, editing and reviewing research white-papers, solution/methodology documents and market commentary.
• Anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them using the appropriate methodology.
• Enhancing internal audit functions to further align to company strategy and risk.
• Identifying opportunities for companies to effectively mitigate risk and improve business performance.

IT Technical Risk Assurance: Assessing the enterprise against IT threats and risks through governance, compliance, identification, and validation. This includes:
  - Performing IT Technical Risk Assessments
  - Information Security
  - Disaster Recovery
  - Secure systems development
  - Technical Vendor Management
  - Compliance with Industry and IT Regulations
  - Providing technical audit resources to support IT       Governance Assessments.

Skills

• University Degree in Computer Engineering, Business, or any related subject.
• Related experience in Project Management, business analysis, systems and financial services. 
• Knowledge of Information Risk and Operational controls.
• Knowledge of IT service management and ITIL framework & certification is a plus.
• Previous experience working in an IT security environment and security audit.
• Assess operations risk profile and its potential impact on financial and operating performance.
• Support process improvements by documenting process flows, risk and control assessments, and gap analysis.
• Develop and maintain tracking metrics for management reporting and escalation.
• Identify and advance enhanced risk management capabilities to continuously improve the risk control process.
• Assist with in depth risk analysis of date, make recommendations to mitigate process complexity and exposure level.
• Participate in the implementation of specific goals, objectives, and priorities of the risk management program.
