Job Description

• 4 to 6 years’ experience as Planning Engineer especially in high rise building.
• Work experience with large main contractors in the Gulf Region.
• Should have Civil Engineering Degree.
• Should have extensive knowledge in primavera 3 / 6.
• Excellent command of MS. Office applications.
• Strong written and spoken English (Arabic will be an advantage)

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Studies contract documents to become fully knowledgeable of project requirements and specifications.
2. Generates preliminary construction schedules and manpower histograms in coordination with Business Development Department.
3. Generates initial construction schedules of assigned projects in coordination with Construction Department, incorporating permit sequence chart, drawing submittal logs, material submittal logs, and sub-contractor preliminary schedule.
4. Generates cash flow curves of construction schedule, manpower histogram.
5. Generates final construction schedule based on construction drawings in coordination with Engineering Unit and Construction Department.
6. Updates construction schedules and manpower schedules regularly in light of weekly and monthly progress reports, manpower report, and cash flow report.
7. Interfaces with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered to sites in keeping with construction schedule.
8. Revises construction schedule in light of variation orders in coordination with Management and Construction Department, and asses the overall cost adjustments and the need for time extension, if any.
9. Highlights major differences between actual job progress and construction schedule to Management and Construction Department and issues adjusted construction plan.
10. Issues job handing over report incorporating differences between construction schedule and job actual progress, and differences between forecasted and actual manpower requirements.
11. Coordinate with Quantity Surveyor Unit on current construction issues that may affect quantity and rates and cash-flow.
